By accessing or using PraiseJar ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
PraiseJar is a platform that allows users to collect, save, and share positive messages, compliments, and words of encouragement ("Praise"). The Service includes a mobile application and website that enables users to:
- Create an account and personal profile
- Save and organize praise they receive
- Send praise to others via text message
- Upload screenshots to extract praise text
- View and manage their praise collection
User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Age Requirements
PraiseJar is intended for users aged 12 and older. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 12 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 12.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Send spam, harassment, or unwanted messages
- Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Collect user information without consent
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
User Content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant PraiseJar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to submit it. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality, is owned by PraiseJar and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our doodles, graphics, and brand elements may not be used without permission.
Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated text extraction from images. Always verify extracted content before saving or sharing.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRAISEJAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PraiseJar and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
